It came out of a collection, not sure what its for!

It looks similar to the mag in my very old 22 Savage NRA match rifle but not identical .
Could be a Savage mag of some sort

And btw don't lose that 22 short adapter. Many unscrew it and remove it and put it somewhere that it is forgotten about. The mag is more valuable with that intact. Many people would lose their head if it were not permanently attached.

Yes that is a Mossberg mag - Part #R119 and the short adapter is Part #120 Fits Models 42B, 43C, 42TR & 42M
