The wood came from your own wood lot. Wonderful! That is a long term project. Did you grow the tree from seed too? (just kidding).

The maple on my wood lot is good for fire wood. Never even thought about stock wood.
I have a couple of big maple trees to cut and they have big gnarly roots. I wonder......

If I cut it, then let it dry racked in my garage loft, I should be good to go in about ten years time!

All I can say is WOW. The inletting looks very tight. I can't imagine the hours in that project. What sort of scrapers did you use?

Have not shot it yet ,probably 200 or more hours who counts. Make my scrapers from hardware store paint scrapers.
