A consignment find at a gun shop nearby. An uncommon Remington 513SA, 27” barrel, Redfield peep and front target sight. Metal buttplate. Even had a nice period correct sling. Great shape for an old 22 rimfire. Can’t wait to shoot it.

This old girl shoots. 10 shots CCI SV through the peeps at 50 yrds off bags. Very nice rifle to shoot. Trigger very crisp at 2.5lbs. Fun!

Have a 513S sporters, just my came with different factory peep set.
Mine is super accurate with cci st/vel , the long barrel helps in aiding in it's Ballance and accuracy.
Great rifle, not many sporters here in Canada or USA period.

Yes, mine came with the redfield peep set. Was yours the Lyman?

The Fedral champion hp didn't shoot as well. 50 yrds

It's sure knocks over the rimfire silhouettes too.

Yup mine are the lyman peep set!
Also have a factory Weaver scope with mounts that attach to the peep hole and rear barrel dovetail, but I have so much fun the way it is, the scopes been sitting in a box for years now?

The 513S was always on my bucket list, about 5 years ago I finally bought one, sight unseen, but I was assured that it was "very nice", when I got it, it turned out that the stock had been poorly refinished at some point, but the metal was all original. I was ticked off, but kept it, put it in the back of the safe and forgot about it, since then, I have developed eye problems and can't use peeps anymore. Long story short, my "bucket" rifle is either going down the road or getting drilled and tapped. They do balance nice though.

Would make an awesome squirrel rifle, if I were hunting them, my old school scope would be on it!
But just drill and tap it, makes more sense if it's in rough shape or been altered.
Love these long barrel sporter, more than my Win 52 sporter

Yes, I guess I should, I've got the 513S and a Winchester 75 sporter, which I actually prefer, I keep thinking that I should drill and tap them both, but them I remember that I've got an entire safe of scoped 22's, so I procrastinate a little more.

found a mint new condition 513T at a local show a few weeks ago,the thing looks brand new,the old guy took really good care of his stuff,
