I have long been a user of Norma powders, and I assure you, they are not identical to any
Alliant powders. Close, but not the same. Reloder 22 and MRP are similar in burning rate, but do not
even look the same under high magnification. Ditto N204 and Reloder 19.
The original N203 has been obsolete for decades already, replaced by N202. Now we also have N203B,
which is also different. None are the same as RL 15.
At present I have and use N200, N201, N202, N203, N203B, N204, MRP, URP, and MRP-2.
One thing I really like about Norma powders is they tend to not be "spikey" as to pressure
rise. MRP seems less Temperature sensitive than in RL 22, in my experience.
I phoned Nils Kvale a few years back and had a nice chat with him. He told me that MRP
[and it's predecessor, N205] were made by Bofors, and marketed as RP-5 N203 as RP-3. Dave.
