I am trying to find the value of a 1917 DWM artillery P08 (Luger) pistol c/w holster. I know I should post pics, but I am not familiar with the procedure and I believe the following detailed description provides an accurate picture of the gun. So here goes:
The gun is in excellent condition with 98% of the original finish remaining and minimal holster wear on the muzzle and sharp edges.
All serial numbers on the gun match except for the magazine, which has a different number but is of the same vintage. There are no markings on the grip panels, but these appear to be original.
The mirror-like bore is in excellent condition with strong rifling.
The pebble-grained leather holster is in fair condition. The stock has been removed and replaced with a belt loop by a previous owner. There are no markings on the holster, but it contains the small (unmarked) tool and cleaning rod. The stitching has come loose from the flap that covers the cleaning rod.
Based on the above description, can anyone provide an estimated value? I have seen all kinds of prices on the Internet, but all were in US dollars.
