Has WK180-C reliability improved at all?

I purchased one of the last 2 in stock at High Caliber and I'm having them hold on to it until my PAL comes in, though they've said they can provide a full refund if there are some issues (possibly political ones) or if I change my mind. I've read many issues about the rifle, but I've also read about Kodiak fixing those issues in later versions, such as a conversion from a .223 Wylde to a 5.56mm NATO chamber. What is the current state of the WK180-C? Is this still in the "beta testing" stage and having teething issues, or has it become a fairly reliable firearm? I'm fine with having a couple issues as I've heard Kodiak customer support is quite good, I just want to know what I'm getting into.
 
My first wk180 was bad. I was the 8th person on the preorder so got the very first batch. Went back to Kodiak 2x for chamber issues with 223 Wylde. Extraction issues. Magnetic charging handle issues. Just not good. Sold it with 50 rounds through it for more then I paid for it as they were hot items. Now after a year bought a latest one. So far it has been better.

Best way to put it is will probably work most of the time. If I am honest tho if you want something to bang away at the range a used mr1 is the same money and will work. If you spend a bit more then go tavor. If you want to do it right then go atrs.
 
I was in on the original preorder but after a while got pissed and cancelled.

I recently purchased one off of the EE (BNIB) that has the screw in charging handle. It has run flawlessly for just over a thousand rounds now. I actually enjoy shooting it quite a bit and am considering picking up another for my kid.
 
I have 3500 rounds or so through mine. Cleaned it once and haven't had any issues at all. Sometimes after 3-400 rounds the charging handle starts to loosen. Otherwise all good.
 
Love mine. I banged out 2 MOA groups with cheaper ammo and tagged some yotes during my hunting trips. It's actually one from the first batch as it's marked wylde on the chamber.
 
I'm 1700 rounds into mine, early serial number. Has never missed a beat. 2 moa with american eagle and a little better with my hand loads. Seems to like 62gr better than 55 gr based on group size. It has become my goto truck gun for sure.
 
Mine was among the BCG recall and it showed various issues.

Handguard screws were too tight.

Firing pin retainer was not thick enough and ejected. The issue was solved with a stronger AR 15 retainer.

Some screws are loosened due to vibration, and Loctite Blue solves the issue. Gas piston screw keeps loosening every 30 - 50 rounds. No solution yet.

Charging handle snapped. They delivered a new one soon.

It is accurate, though, I love it.
 
Mine was the first batch. It never malfunctions, even went through a match with pouring rain. But every 200 rounds or so I'll have to tighten some screws somewhere. This goes on until I loktited everything at about 1000 round mark.
My buddy has a later serial number and it worked flawlessly wothout any tinkering from the factory.

Base on the experience, yes their quality of assembly definitly improved, and the design was very reliable from the start.
 
I have one of the latest manufactured models. 300 rounds in and no need to re-tighten anything, no issues no problems at all. Just sweet 2moa groups with the cheapest ammo (Federal) that I could find.
 
I just had my charging handle snap off. It will require some machining to remove the threaded section still in the bolt. I sure have awful luck these days!
 
Meh. I'll wait another year before diving back into this Turkey for round 2. It's good to see they're slowly making changes to fix an inferior product but I'm not playing ####ing beta tester again on my shipping dime for warranty.
