M305 annoying non issue.

Recently acquired this m305. Basically a loaded 5/20 mag doesn't like to seat on a closed bolt. 4 rounds in a mag it seats fine. Mags seat fine on an open bolt. No failures to feed or eject.
Rifle is sitting in a Choate stock.
Thoughts?

I found with my rifles they often pin them exactly at 5 rounds maybe a little less it's a pain in the ass but you need to depress the rounds in a magazine a bit more

That appears to be the case with mine. All the mags must of been pinned a little too tight. I tried a mag pinned from the floor plate and it works completely. Thanks.

Are yours internally limited like the long fin or is has a rivet on the back? I have alot of long fins, and 2 rivets

The mags that came with the gun have that standard side rivet. My old mag has that long fin on the floor plate.

I rather the long fins its easier to deal with, the rivets literally kick me off I've had several fall out on the range and I had to give them to the RCMP that we're on the range the same day, reason I hate them every time I get one I crazy glue it on
