What to do with all the AR uppers

I think there's a special place in Hell for those who would turn in an unregistered lower... or anything else not already registered.

To me registered or not, only the most unashamed cowards would give up their hard earned, legitimately, honestly purchased property. But I'm sadly aware there are many that would.

Keep the uppers. In 2,4,8 years when the cons take back power they overturn this. Buy everything back. Then we can point to the 600 million dollar boondoggle confiscation cost and it won’t come up again.

In those 2,4,8 years shoot something else. Be patient. Never give up.

Ive actually been pondering this idea before the spectre of an AR holocaust......
As I mentioned the AR upper in design and function has plenty of merits that appeal to me....and I still prefer a conventional buttstock and its egos.
A merger of the two has great potential IMO

Lets leave the politico ranting to the many other threads in forums here...Im all in there too. :)

Maybe the FIGHTLITE SCR is what we seek? Or something similar. Not an AR lower, but fits uppers. It is being made to counter California gun laws.

I can't understand all the excitement over this. We're headed the way of the Aussies, Kiwis and Britts and everyone is gushing in their panties because they're about to be neutered.

:kickInTheNuts:

I don't want to see the legislation changed but i am excited about this, for different reasons

One thing that stopped me from getting an AR was that it was lot of money for a gun i could only use at the range.

In this case i could make 2 guns with a lot of the same parts.

Going to the range, use the AR-Semi receiver
Going to the cottage, use the NR-bolt receiver

Its like a transformer, but with live ammo :)

For what its worth, when the confiscations-without-compensations occurred in the 1990s, there were those who offered up stripped receivers. They were told that if they did not produce the complete firearm, the police would return with a search warrant.
Lots of fun speculating, chest thumping, whatever. Accomplishes nothing.

There were relatively few people effected and there was no internet back then. Gun owners are a bit more informed now, and if everyone declined to turn in anything but a stripped lower, they dont' have the resources to search everyone.
