Winchester SXP Extreme Deer Mossy Oak 12GA

I've heard good and bad about them but that's the internet. From what I've read turkey made shotguns aren't all that bad, and a large amount of brands use Turkish factories to make their budget branded firearms. If I remember correctly it has a slight blow back on the action that makes loading another round easier. If their modern Winchester model 70's are an indication of the quality being made under the Winchester name, then the SXP shouldn't be a bad firearm.

I have had an sxp for waterfowl hunting since last season. Beware, the magazine throat is made of plastic, and prone to cracking. Mine cracked, and as a result, the trigger group does not sit level in the receiver. This means that it no longer feeds shells from the mag tube. From what I've read, this is not an uncommon issue. I emailed Winchester last week about it, still no response.

I was talking to the gunsmith in Ottawa, ON (Jason at Gunco) and he said he has had to replace quite a few of these plastic magazine throats. He even keeps them on hand in the shop.
If you don't get a hold of Winchester, you could get your mag throat replaced by a gunsmith.
