If the throat on your incoming rifle is in excellent condition, expect it to be more accurate than your K31.
I sold a K11 a year ago that was in 95% condition, except the throat, which was smooth but had worn away more than any other K11 I've seen. I made sure the buyer knew about this but he really wanted a VG+ example to display beside his police issue K31, so all was well.
This spring, at the Lumby gun show I picked up another. The throat and bore on this K11 are perfect or close enough.
With GP11 ammo, this rifle will easily shoot better than my K31 with an equally impressive bore.
What I really like about the K11 is that it shoots my hand loads just as well.
These are great rifles and extremely well made
Recently they've come down a bit in price as have the K31 rifles.
Last weekend in Salmon Arm a K31 in VG+ condition was being offered for $900, that included a case of ammo and a bayonet. If I didn't have so much GP11 on hand, I would have bought the package just for the ammo and flipped the rifle/sling/bayo as a combo.
Not sure why the slump in price. Maybe because so many in the West are out of work due to the Liberal/NDP shenanigans??
I don't think the K31 prices have dropped much if at all. Some retailers are still climbing around the 1000$ range while others are more reasonable. And the tradex prices on the K11 has been a consistently great deal around the 560$ range for years.
And should you wish to scope a Swiss 1889, 97 Kadet, 96-11, 1911 & k11 without drilling and taping into what will become a good investment then there is Swiss Products NO drill tap mount for them.
Replace original action screws with those supply with the kit. You likely will have to play with mount's alignment to action, since stock contact to mount will vary.
Best bet to to center the reticle in the middle of the adjustment range, then align the mount to close windage on a target at least 100 yds-meters away.

I'm only going by some of the dealer's prices at several BC gun shows. As usual, location does make a difference.
IMHO $900 for a decent K31/sling/bayonet/600 rounds GP11 and there wasn't even an offer made on it tells me something. Same goes for Swede M38 rifles. They're getting tough to sell. Mind you, no matter what the NDP/Green coalition government in BC tells you, the economy is definitely showing some serious signs of tanking.
Where would one source those no drill mounts? What power scope did you use?
I've got a G11 and K11 and I've yet to put them head to head to determine if one is more accurate than the other.
One thing for sure, the long rifle should greatly excel with the open sights.

Used all sorts of scopes depending on what clears the rear sight. Too big an objective lens will not clear the K11 rear sight even with tall rings.
Rings need to be 22lr 3/8" -11mm dovetail rings to fit the rails.

I have two of the Swiss Products mounts - one has an old K4 Weaver scope and the other a 3 -9 Weaver. Both are of the all-steel El Paso-made vintage that suit the rifles well. Try and get the lowest rings you can, but ensuring that the bell of the scope doesn't touch the backsight - one of the advantages of the older style of scope, including the K4, is that the bell is only at the eyepiece end.
