Hornady .22 std velocity ammo any reviews

I started another post on this ammo.
Consensus is it duplicates CCI SV. SV was more accurate out of the rifles I tested and the Hornady will be relegated to Semi Auto Speed steel or donated to the youth programs.
Costs more and performs poorly.

The "same", but oddly...nowhere as accurate as SV in any of my rifles. I really like Hornady products, but this ammo is among the worst I've tried. I don't doubt for a second it's manufactured by CCI to specs that nearly mirror the SV...but accuracy-wise? Not even close to SV. I bought 4 boxes of it the first time I saw it for sale, and have now run it through every 22 I own. I won't be buying it again.
I’m guessing a lot to lot issue. I’ve had certain lots of sv not perform as well as others. I don’t doubt it’s factory seconds of some sort. The reason I say the same is when pulled apart, the components weigh the same and look the same. Maybe it’s made on a different factory line? I dunno, but I’d bet it’s the same factory.

I honestly wouldn't know, but none of the Hornady stuff I've shot (now, 4 boxes) shot nearly as well as the poorest results I've gotten from CCI SV. Agreed, the SV has the odd flier...but at least it's consistently good/decent. I've even had some groups almost rival SK Rifle Match. A fluke, sure...but very good. I've yet to see one good group from the Hornady stuff, fed through my Marlin/CZ (x2)/Anschutz (x2). If it's working well for you~that's awesome. I only have one gun that'll shoot Winchester white box worth a damn...so I know to "never say never". lol
Their blazer was made by federal for a few years when .22lr ammo was almost non existent ... but i recently got some blazers and they are made by CCI again
Correct, it was Blazer only...and only for s short period. I don't know if it could even be measured in "years", but there were packaging variations that helped you determine which was which. I was stocking-up on Blazer at the time, and even called CCI. (about a year and a half ago) CCI told me there is no chance the new production stuff I was looking at ever came from Federal.
