For those that have not checked the tube lately,
MeatEater Season 8 is now on NetFlix
GoodStuff..
Love Meateater. half way through season 8. Also check out their podcast, can't get enough of it.
My only real issue with the show is the constant emphasis on bowhunting, and the weird obsession with squirrel hunting.
I foresee a time when bow hunting is used a serious wedge against the hunting community. And squirrel hunting, really? I mean, I'm sure they're fun and all that, but they talk about them an awful lot.
The sika deer episode was the best, looked like a lot of fun.
To all of you who have felt that eight short episodes of MeatEater wasn't enough, look up Randy Newberg (On Your Own Adventures and Fresh Tracks) on YouTube.
It's 99% big game and 99% DIY on public. Hours of entertainment and I find him as entertaining as the MeatEater crew!
We have Sitka deer in Canada. They can be found on the Queen Charlotte Islands.
I bet you local residents were pretty pissed about those episodes, good for the rest of us to discover those neat creatures!

Yeah I bet they were.
I could drive down there to hunt in a single day. Wondering if I could swap a black bear hunt in NB with a local down there for a sika hunt. That would be fun.
