Just a reminder to folks out there who get permission to hunt other people’s land that you do not in fact own/dictate who else can hunt on it besides you/ bring more people than your original agreement entails. Recently moved to a new large spot of farmland where one father son hunter duo has permission also. They took it upon themselves to cut down (break) my stand and took all my bait from in front of my camera on my in laws property! Bold move I tell ya!

Gotta love stupid people....seen that kind of behavior a few times

Being as they have permission, their identities will be well known to the landowner. There’d damn well better be a new tree stand with a shiny red bow on it waiting for you.

First have them replace everything they damaged and stole making them think they will still have permission if they do, then tell them to pound sand and report them to the ministry for interfering with legal hunting practices since you have them on camera destroying your tree stand etc

my dad and i are fortunate to be hunting on the same farm since 1969 we do not bring no one else to the property and have a good relationship with the land owner. The people that did that two you are dicks and liberals

These instances happen a lot. It usually ends with the land owner getting fed up, kick everyone off and no one gets to hunt it.

I'd TRY to keep it civil, I'd be so pissed off it would he incredibly hard but it would be worth it.

I put part of the blame on the land owner, If they are going to give permission to multiple people, They gotta let everyone involved know.

EVERYTIME I ask for permission, I ask is anyone else have permission. If so then I most likely wont hunt it, it's dangerous and i dont need a spot that bad.

Hope you get this figured out sooner than later

i usually get a few people on camera tresspassing but never know who they are. one year had a couple of guys on several cams on dec 31st walking around and found rubber gloves (57 of them) hanging on tree branches in the spring when pulling the cams, assuming they were tracking a deer in the snow and using the gloves to mark blood sign. i have no problem if you're looking for a hit deer BUT come and let me know and pick up your $hit........... if i ever have to go over the fence, i always go ask so they know next door and it's never a problem.
i just pulled some trail cam cards yesterday and 2 perfect pics of quads and plate #'s this time.............
no idea who they are but kinda pissed they're driving under my stand in bow season, they're really lucky i wasn't in the stand and at work that day.

We’ve got one or two properties we share with another group. But the land owner is awesome and communicative. When we call her earlier in the year, she informs us what the plan will be. In the past, she’s set it up that we get it on the even dates, and the other group on the odds. Another time, she set it up that we get south of the river until noon, then north till dark. These worked fine, and we’ve never had a conflict, but now 30ish years later it’s just worked out that we hunt the first week and they hunt the second.

Anyway, communication goes a long way, and there’s no excuse for not doing it these days.

I had an idiot try and kick me off my OWN property once.
Unreal !!!!

I had that happen... I was asleep after a nightshift and was awakened by a chainsaw running out at the main road... I walked out and found two guys cutting trees down and bucking it into stovewood and filling a trailer. I walked up and said, I'm pretty sure this is private property, they informed me that they had "permission from the owner..." I said that is odd, I'm the owner and I don't recall ever giving you permission to cut on my land, after which, I made them unload the trailer, and when they got uppity, I "made" them stack the wood too.

I would have had them replant new trees as well. It's not that long ago that stealing trees would get you shot just like stealing cattle, horses and mining on someone else's claim

Lack of permission is what will finally kill the hunting sports. It's only a matter of time.
