Federal Black pack, too good to be true?

4000 rounds on sale is crazy tempting for me, anyone shot this stuff through a 10/22 ? mine is picky as hell as seems to only dig CCI standard and CCI ar tactical which I sadly missed case lot season for.

I also shoot a Henry .22 and a Heritage Rough rider. 4k rounds would last me like, 3 years at least so its super tempting, but if my Ruger hates it that would kinda suck.

So as always I harass you experienced folk.

I don't get out as much anymore heh. It looks like the black pack may be re branded cci mini mags, what is this magical 30 round mag you talk about?
 
mini mags should feed and work well.

I use those mags with an adapter:

it is not yet deemed illegal by our helpful friends from canda's finest


with cheap ammo they jam a bit but minimag runs 100%

The Black Pack .22 ammo I bought last year is good stuff. It does look similar to Mini-Mags, albeit with cases having a Federal headstamp.
 
Black pack ammo 22lr is great! I have fired it out a lot of different 22s and not one FTF. I am convinced it is the same as federal champion high velocity rounds or those bulk pack rounds boxed instead of in the 525 bulk packs. Anyway i just bought another 3 boxes of the stuff its great ammo. Not for match shooting but great for practise or probably even some hunting being CPHP.

One dealer currently has 4800rds for 219.99 that is $0.046 cents per round. Best reliable budget ammo i have shot and st this price can't beat that.

Works fine in my semi auto pistol and great in bolt action rifle. Have been using for the last year and have gone through three cases so far. Can’t beat the price at current sponsor site and there may be another coupon sale or Boxing Day sale again, I hope, like last year. Cleaner than Federal 525 blue box ammo. Each box of 1600 is full of 50 round white boxes with a plastic spacer/holder. Great at the price or even if a bit more expensive, my max price paid was $90 when first appeared on the shelves last October.

Ya I .. bought the bullet .. and ordered a box, at that price there's just no reason not too. Worst case scenario my Henry will shoot annnyytthhiinngg.
 
This is a great price. Federal black pack is good reliable ammo. Cycles great and is generally good all purpose ammo in any gun I've used it in. It is cheaper and better than anything else I've tried save Eley... And Eley costs 4x as much.
 
CCI and Federal are the same company now. I suspect a lot of these different brands are all the exact same bullet...
 
All 3 of my .22's eat whatever I feed them. I have even shot some old storage finds I.E. some found in old garages, old barns even in closets and old desk drawers.
 
the black pack looks like it is HP this year, I thought last year it was round nose? I almost pulled the trigger, but I haven't been able to get HP to feed consistently into my 10/22 or mk iv 22/45
