I made mine out of an old pair of blue jeans that could not hold any more patches. I used the lower leg and the wife's sewing machine. I filled a freezer bag with dry sand and put that in the denim and sewed the ends to hold it. Works great and my son bought a Caldwell shooting setup and he prefers mine. They are great for bench shooting as you can fit one under your elbow to level things out. Kind of like the old 25# lead shot bag ones from the last century.
Personally I don't think elbow bags are necessary.
The most useful bags IMO are bags such as the Wiebad Mini Fortune Cookie, mini game changer bag, tactical udder, etc.
Get one of the above.
I have been wanting either the Gamechanger or fortune cookie. Probably in the smaller light weigh versions. Has anybody had any luck using these while hunting out in the field? I think the light ones are 3lbs ish so could be tossed in a backpack.
Lockhart tactical have an affordable alternative to the Game changer.
