So I think I have put together what I feel is the perfect setup for my predator hunting and some deer hunting aswell. And moose when the situation arises.

So I was one of the bcl fanboys when they where announced and I got in on the first run. I felt confident in buying one as I own several nea ar15 both bought and built and to date I have had exactly zero failures or issues I know I know im the only one and I have horseshoes up my butt but its the truth.

When I got the 102 I threw a 1x8 strike eagal on it and hit the range with surplus and a bit of factory ammo and the gun shot as I expected for the ammo I was useing then I went to a cheap ffp scope But when I went to handloading I was not overly impressed with the accuracy well I should say the cold bore shot accuracy.
If the barrel was warm it would group ok but my cold bore shot was always like 1.5"-2" up and left at 100m. Because I wanted to hunt with this and dare I say long range that was a problem.
So I bought and installed a mapleridge armory 6.5 creedmoor barrel this put me in the accuracy range I was looking for. I am able to shoot moa with the cheapest on sale ammo I could buy as I was just trying to get some brass for reloading.
Its federal 140gn and its running a 46fps standard deviation and avraging 2660fps at muzzle.

So what I have done to this rifle to date is
Barrle, jp silent captured buffer, raptor charging handle, ambi safety, magpul str stock, magpul moe k2+ grip, magpul mlok bipod, utg 45°buis and i have it topped with a vortex viper pst gen2 5x25x50.

As it sits the gun weighs a ton and I wish bcl would have softened the corners on the magwel but other than that I am very happy with how this rifle looks feels and runs.

I sited the rifle on the weekend and was very happy and confident with the rifle so I went deer hunting on Tuesday and I ended up running in to a immy moose they are open for 15 days where I live and I couldnt pass up the opportunity. 160yd threw the skull and severed the spine it was a great feeling to get more than just coyotes with this gun.

Congrats on the moose, gonna be tastey, love the setup how do you find the offset iron sights? What optic mount you have on there just the standard vortex one? I was looking at that one, but I'm not too sure on it how do you find it

I have yet to use the iorns but they are nicer than my magpul buis all metal and not loose like the magpul pro. It has two aperture sizes and i like the sight picture.

As for the mount its a vortex viper extended cantilever mount
Its a bit on the chunky side but at this point that hardly matters.
I swaped it from my original aero precision light weight mount as im not a fan of the clam style 2 bolt mounting it uses i put my 1x8 in the aero and put it in my 3 gun ar15.
I would definitely buy another vortex before i got another aero.

Its a 20" mapleridge armory stainless match 6.5 creedmoor 1in8 twist. In very happy with the barrel i am getting moa results with factory ammo and im sure with loads and a competent shooter the gun could be well in to the sub moa range.
