165gr premier accu tip or the 165gr premier scirocco for mouse (moose) I am having a hard time deciding between the two. I use to use the 165 gr ballistic tip that remington use to sell for deer it is a shame they are no longer made. Now between the two has anybody used these bullets and what is your oppinion of these two rounds? ANY HELP would be great.

You don't state which calibre you are shooting, the accutip is a hornady SST, basically a bonded btip, I have had accuracy issues with scirocco's. If you are buying premium factory ammo and moose was the primary quarry I would get Barnes TSX loads first and Nosler Partitions second.

Federal loads both.

From what i read. The accutip, the Hornady SST and the Nosler ballistic tip are in the same class for light skinned game. They are not bonded bullets and poor choices for moose in a light and fast caliber.

The Sirocco is bonded premium bullet like the Hornady Interbond, the Nosler Accubond. They are designed for heavier skinned game like moose.

To answer the caliber question i am using a .308 win winchester model 70 stealth II from a fixed location. the shot distances where i am should be no more then 250 meters

Either will work fine,or like CV32 said cor-lokts are also good.

I really like scirrocos though.I think they are very underrated/overlooked by alot of shooters. They shoot very well in most of my guns, and work well on game.
