1 year old GP-100 - cracked forcing cone

That's actually exactly what happened. I rented the 460V as a joke and actually really enjoyed it. With the muzzle brake it really isn't that bad. Also, you get a gun that can handle 3 cartridges - 454 Casull, 460 Magnum and 45 Long Colt. I'm not sure yet but it's been on my mind. Either that or a 629 PC hunter.

well then go for it
let us know at 3000 rounds if you can still type :)

How are you finding the 460 V? Have you tried 454 Casull and 45 Long Colt in it? I would reload for it and it takes tlstandard 45 bullets so J wouldn't exactly see this gun as a bad option. The only reason I wouldn't get the V is that I actually prefer the longer cannon.

Christ, a lot of people can't handle magnums so they act dramatic when someone wants one. As I mentioned I have a SRH Toklat in .454, it's often cited as one of the hardest recoiling pistols out there. It doesn't have obscene weight or a muzzle brake like the X-frames. It's not that bad... Don't assume other people are pussies just because you are. Not to mention the OP reloads, he can push a 185 grn bullet out at 600fps or a 400 at 1800 if he wishes. Versatility is valuable.

I know, I have a 454 casull and it's not recoiling worth a damn.
Because it's a safe queen that's why.
