Saw a fellow buying two of those "cheap" Remington 22s at peavey mart couple weeks ago, yep, 34.99 a box. He was so happy that I didn't have the heart to tell him the local gun shop had Thunderbolts on for 19.99/500. They sold pallets of those things.

If you have a Bass Pro Shop around they seem to have their Herter's brand on sale at $25 for a box of 500 often. It has worked well in our .22 rifle and pistol.
