Lattey Optical Sight

I have one I picked up at a gunshow one time. It is, unfortunately missing the front magnifying glass.
The downside to the Lattey type sights were that they had no protection from the elements, so dirt, dust, rain etc would blur your sight picture.

The front lattey sight attached to a no1mk3. That isn't rust on the rifle, by the way.

I wasn't even certain what it was when I bought it. The sticker on the plastic case it came in said "some kind of military sight? $25". I thought for that kind of money, I would skip a couple lunches and take a chance.

It is these kinds of finds that make me even more obsessed with this hobby, where I will drive way too far to a gunshow to find way too little.

If you could determine the diopter rating that the lens should be, perhaps you could obtain a stock polycarbonate lens and have it ground to fit, or grind it to fit yourself.
I wonder if a lens from an el cheapo pair of reading glasses might work?
Do you know any dispensing opticians?
