Hello, hoping someone might be able to help me or point me in the right direction.

I have a 1990 colt king cobra 6 inch 357 magnum, it shoots pretty good but after a few shots the ejector rod starts to come loose, I tried just hand tightening it back up but the same thing happened after a few shots, I even tried just a little bit of blue locktite, it lasted a little longer but again came loose.

Now I have heard of a special tool you can use to properly torque these things but I don’t have access to one, so maybe I did not get enough torque on it even with the locktite?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

That’s a very small thread, you shouldn’t need much torque. Remove it, clean it, clean the hole it threads into on the cylinder, apply loctite and tighten, let cure. Let us know how that works. - dan

Thanks! What would be a good option to use to clean the parts out? I think that might have been a small part of the problem also I may not have gotten any oil out of the threads completely and the locktite not cure proper.
