Pre Order Kodiak Defence 180NSR 5.56 Semi Auto Non Resticted

I am usually not a negative Nancy but 2 things; one what is that rail height? That just going to be hard as it definitely wont maych ar mounts. Second.... and I hate to say this but dam this gun looks.... odd to monce my words!

I gotta say, i like the lines on the original much more... The tall looking upper receiver just doesn't do it for me... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder i guess.

One potential problem;
Rear charging handles and folding stocks don't always mix well.

Some stocks will not allow the charging handle to function at all.
Others stocks will allow it to function, but create a nasty finger-pinch between the charging handle and the hinge.

So be very careful and selective if you plan to change out the stock.

Yup.

Also due to the increased receiver/rail height you can forget about changing the handguard as it will no longer line up with an AR-15 handguard.

Yup. Mounting magnified optics or iron sights may be a bit more complicated as the flat top is not in-line with the stock as with a AR.

Not sure exactly what it is but something makes it a bit fugly. Like going out on a double date and having your friend do the grenade.

Deliberately choosing an AR charging handle for this is about the stupidest thing I've seen in recent firearm design.

They did it exclusively for the mall ninjas that were complaining about "stuff" getting into their rifles as they belly crawled through the trenches of ww1.
