The legislation doesn't affect anything yet. If I were you, I'd tell your buddy to order right away and PAY IN FULL. That way it's already his before anything from C71 takes effect.
They said the 3rd run will be a little faster. Should be shipping between late spring/summer 2020.
I'm sure he sold them , I know my bud did. He wants nothing to do with firearms anymore after Wendy C. and her lobby group went on the air yesterday
C7A1 clone in progress... with some "modern" luxuries
Missing the ambi magazine release, and need to track green grip, A1 stock (ordered a Brownells green to get me by until I can MAYBE track a true Colt green A1/A2 butt), and green Elcan cover.
Upgrades:
Charging handle is a Radian Raptor
Trigger is a Trigger Tech
Hogue grip... only on temporarily until I can track a green grip
Not-so-proper parts:
Its a 1:7 twist HBAR from a Colt HBAR - so it doesnt have the Government profile. Hidden by the handguards, so I dont mind... and it will be a shooter, not a safe-queen, so the HBAR will have a benefit
The muzzle brake came from the HBAR, and will be getting swapped to a bird cage shortly
The sling is attached to the butt stock with rivets, so it's irremovable without cutting it off, or removing the sling mount. Won't be keeping it.
