Locking a frame only AR

Hey newcomer here,

Wondering if i really have to lock up a frame only AR lower. I feel silly throwing a cable lock on a chunk of metal and then inside a locked case. Maybe this is a dumb question. What do you guys do?

Yup, treat it the same as any other Restricted.

Bingo. It's legally a restricted firearm. Lock it up the same way you'd lock up a complete AR.

It's a lockable pistol case. I've got a few lowers in there.

Yupp. You'd need to put a lock on the firearm itself if it's in a case.

I personally use sturdy ones like pelican and use good metal locks. Pelican can be dropped from a plane and will stay locked.

By law a zip tie around the trigger is considered locked since it is a mechanical device (you need a key/tool to remove it) what about throwing a zip tie around the lower receiver?
