Back in May, I wrote a review on their Bolt Catch and Release Upgrade Kit that I had purchased.

The review wasn't very good as I determined there was too much play between the two moving parts - which resulted in a sloppy catch.
I was contacted immediately by RWA and they informed me that they made changes to the two parts so they would fit better. Suspect I got one that was out of tolerance and promised me a replacement from the next batch.

Its been a while but they sent me another latch free of charge as soon as they received the new batch (3 weeks ago).

I've reinstalled it on the rifle and as promised, this one has minimal play and works as advertised.

I would have posted on RWA's section as a follow-up, but apparently they no longer are a paid sponsor so my updates were locked out.

However, in fairness to the company (after I gave the part a poor review), I felt an update was in order to correct my opinion of the quality and function of the part.

Note - Its primary benefit is for those who have the charging handle on the RH side of the receiver which means you can trip the bolt after a mag change.
For those who run the charging handle on the LH side - slapping the bolt back is faster than activating the bolt release. The position of this part relative to the other controls does not lend itself to easy actuation (Note - this is a function of the AR-180B pedigree rather than the part itself.

It does what it promises - the end-user has to determine the setup and if the cost is worth it to them.

Is RWA still open? I have sent multiple emails and have received no response. They make it incredibly difficult to buy their products and it seems like all their main products like uppers and rifles are never in stock.

TRANSLATION: "We went balls to the wall building stuff that nobody really wanted. When it didn't take off as expected we were forced to restructure and our gun stuff is no longer a priority".

Kevin seemed pretty somber in that video. Not his usual self that's for sure.

I got one of their rifles from a friend slightly used a while ago and I love it. I was trying to get another upper in 7.62x39 but no response. It would be a shame if they are out of the rifle business, they make a great rifle.

The link CSC posted shows the 7.62x39 upper in stock

EDIT: sorry, I just noticed that upper is for the WK180-C not the RWA rifle.
