Its a scope mount that i finally got anodized. I designed and then made it at work (the benefits of being a machinist). Its is made of aluminum and mounts to the side of the rifle and comes up and over the center axis of the barrel (got the idea from the mosin nagant sniper rifle mounts) . I can Strip and reassemble the rifle without touching it so it always stays zero. The scope is a PU 3.5x 22mm with a 1" tube. This set up works really good for me, I was able to get 1" groupings at a 100 yards from the bench with surplus ammo.

sorry for the crappy pics, This web cam is all i got

You couldn't have made it a little beefier? :D

I like it. Good effort but could use some refinement. How is it mounted? Just screwed into the side?

Nice job AIRCAV, very professional. A proper mount in the right place. I put an SVD mount on mine which works good too. It sits lower over the reciever than yours so it has to be removed to clean the rifle, but it returns to zero when reinstalled, I have a red dot mounted.

How about designing another one for me with a case deflector that takes a full size scope. ?

Spencer is right, i made it high so i could strip the rifle. Now that it is done i realize i could have lowered it by 1/2 a inch. yes its a little bit beefy, but i choose to go the more simplistic route to save time. If i went with my other ideas it would have been thiner but not as rigid. As this was my first time makeing any such thing i am very pleased how it turned out.

Spencer, Your idea of a mount to take a full sized scope is interesting. It would defiantly need a brass deflector to save your scope from dings.

How is your cheekweld? That thing is pretty high. To raise my cheekweld, I switched to a ar15 stock.
