Hi, the safety lines up great and goes 3/4 of the way in left side..but them gets stuck, anyone install one and have the sames issues.
I know it is hitting against metal obviously but, I do not want to start reshaping until i know where to do it.

That is proper and how they come, they have to be fitted. Where are you? I'd rather not try to discribe the process, if you go to far the saftey is scrap, a bit to far and it looks good, but dosent' safley retain the sear and can slip:runaway:. A good set of instructions can be found in the book : Gunsmithing: Pistols and Revolvers...walks you through step by step. I've done a couple, if your close we can get together and do it (I have another one to fit, so we can follow the leader on it)

Crap, just saw your at the other end of the country. Talk to gunnar at armco, he's generally very helpful.

Thanks for replying, so quick.
I am on Vancouver Island, And you.

Fusion emailed me also within an hour of me sending them a message, amazing service!

If you have never installed and adjusted an ambi safety before you may want to send it to a gunsmith. I would send it to "Bits of Pieces". He is in the Lower Mainland and close to you . His turn around time is good and he does very good work.

Fusion Ambi Safety install complete

Well one minute away from midnight and I finally finished my install of the fusion Ambi Safety. I posted on:

http://forum.m1911.org/showthread.php?t=36757

as well and the response was to remove the grip safety so that I could see what was happening each time I removed some stock from the Ambi Safety.
Common sense I guess and patience. The fit and feel is more positive than the original as well now. I think I will post some pictures in the morning to show the steps I took to do the job.... as I am sure there will be more like me.
Fusion sells on eBay too and ships to Canada, I never told you that though.;)

Good on you! The first one is a bit nerve wracking as you don't want to remove to much stock and ether have to peen the edge back to upset some material or buy a new one....
