Uh, guys help. I field stripped my pistol after a few shoots at the range to clean it, and now I assembled it so that the action does not travel backwards. And to boot, once I remove the pistol grip retaining assy/pin the bolt does not slid out. I think ( sigh, know ) that I placed the blot in upside down in the pistol.
How do I correct this mistake? Is there a dis-assy manual out there? Say a .pdf file I can print off and keep in the same case as the pistol so I can NOT do this again?

Anybody?

Follow the procedures on that manual to the smallest detail...that stupid pin that rests on the notch inside the grip is a major PIA, and the slide binds and the gun doesn't work when it's not in exactly the right place.

Kicking myself in the butt, for some yrs ago I had an article of "field strip & reassemble Ruger II in six minutes". Made a dozen copies & before I knew it I had given out the last.

Now I cannot find the above. It seemed to work & one older chap could do it like it was a magic trick yet prior he had problems like most.

It'll take you a while to figure it out. After about 6-8 field strippings it will be qucik and easy. The first time it took me 2 hours to get it back together :runaway:

Ruger Help

Thanks guys for the help, with a little luck I should be able to get the pin out and then separate the barrel from the grip. Withe the file that you send to me, were a big help.

Thanks again! Now I can go and plink before I bring out the bigger stuff on range days! WEEEE!!!!!!
