Anyone have any idea of a fair value for a Robarms M96?

I see whatcha did there... ;)

Nope, had one years ago and sold it because I didn't want to wind up with a broken paper-weight from normal use. Broken M96 bolts are not uncommon, among other terminal parts failures. That is bad juju for a rifle with zero vendor support....

That’s the thing I’m personally concerned about: small volume / rare-ish black rifles will suffer the brunt of the ban since they can be easily named by OIC.

Is that rifle NR? Would make some valuation difference I think.

Good luck with your transaction, cool gun regardless.

“Buy it while you can”. Get bent!

Why, so we can lose over $3gs on the deal? Selling it to a friend my ass.

It’s your rifle, you can do what you want. You clearly over paid if you’re into it for more than that. And I mean by a lot, like 2k.

can you even find parts for this anymore?

Nope. Pure "Unobtanium" everywhere in North America, including from the manufacturer. Short of a machine shop, you ain't sourcing new parts if you have a breakage. Bolt breakage at the Cam Pin Hole is the most common breakage that I am familiar with, but there are others. They are a really neat firearm, albeit expensive and difficult to manufacture with the complex stamped and welded stainless steel receiver. It is too bad that Robinson Armament abandoned the product line before the M96 was perfected. The "vapourware" Belt-Feed Conversion that was oft-promised but never delivered is what pretty much killed widespread interest in an otherwise expensive and complicated firearm to manufacture.

And that's why I sold mine. I wanted the belt feed conversion so bad, so I could have my Stoner wannabe rifle. All they ever came out with was the bren conversion.
