M10x FAILURES

Why M10x is an ultimate failure of M&M Industries?
1. Very particular about magazines: Failed:
a) Croatian BHO
b) SMG Korean
c) T81
d) original BHO mags it came with (not shown)
e) IMI mags (not shown)
Tolerated only Magpul P-mags and Tapco mags

2. Charging handle is an absolute failure, even correctly engaged, disengages spontaneously and flies away from the rifle, making rifle unusable. The most important thing is that the handle flies back behind the shooter which creates health danger/ hazard

3. Cost 2000Canadian dollars and even with that lacks:
a) normal cleaning kit (Hogue cleaning kit costs 75USD)
b) lacks any sort of sights, even cheap ones, which makes the rifle unusable from the box
c) lacks QD mount on the back of Zhukov stock (costs just 5-7USD from ebay shipped)
So economy on small things create bad impression together with extreme downperformance of the rifle

4. Trigger is so sensitive that if you touch it with cloth or by mistake, it will fire right away

5. Crazy safety direction for most of the World shooters. It is only on M/ AR platforms of most common army-style rifles the safety points down meaning you are ready to fire. Check VZ58, T81 etc in most of those, safety pointing towards the range means shooting, safety down interfering with the hand grip means-not ready to shoot. It is in awkward position as well, which makes it difficult to use by either hand

6. the nose is really heavy compared to VZ58, AK, T81 etc

7. 21st century, "The best country in the World manufacturing" cannot figure out mag-unrelated BHO

8. Double feeds Health hazard

The positive features include:
1. good precision
2. soft recoil
3. break style disassembly
4. bilateral safety
5. pleasant hand grip

Sorry I devalued second hand market for M10x, but let's admit it, those who own it-we got robbed.
Please do no sell it as it is hazard to inexperienced shooters.

Dealers in Canada, please send it back to M&M Industries, M10x is not safe for Canadians

Maybe that's why the importer is now discounting the rifles original MSRP from $1950 to $1700....

I also think so, but man even 1000$ down is not enough for the rifle that instantly not ready to be used off the box and when handle flies off makes it a useless piece of metal
This should be banned from Canadian market

I am very very disappointed with Kodiak Defense being so modest and yes they have not designed SKS, but they were making an awesome SKS-KD functioning rifle eating most mags and most rounds. Sometimes Canadians should not be modest and have the market share they deserve. What bugs me is too expensive and too unsafe rifle, not sure who cleared M10x for Canadian market, that person has to be fired and go to court for endangering Canadians.

Thank for reconfirming my decision not to buy one. Although I have been tempted lately with the price reduction I will write it off for good now.

Sorry you got burned but thanks for giving us the heads up.

Where it belongs.

WOW , I guess $250.00 -300.00 for a SKS would look pretty good at the moment. Just unbelievable...if I hadn’t seen it with my own two eyes!
And what ,if anything is the manufacturer doing to correct the problem...it isn’t like you bought a Norinco...and were hoping to get a good one. I would think just about any Nornico would run better!
Sorry for you loss...hope there have been , better results with someone elses rifle , from the same maker.

VZ58 os SKS-KD, that's what I would go for. T81 ok for the price and far superior in reliability compared to M10x
If not custom VZ58 mags, if VZ58 had been designed to accept AK mags, that would be the most superior rifle available to us and even in US, it outperforms stamped AKs, nd the only down side is lack of the cleaning kit on board which is fixable by changing handle or using stock pouch to carry one.

It's frustrating to pay $2000 for a disfunctional rifle like this. I feel your pain
I have never been pissed more lately (except liberals victory) than with this M10x crap

I hope I stopped people from buying this crap. SKS and SKS-D/KD for AK mag lovers is the best deal for the price/ reliability/ overall quality, next would be VZ58, super good performance, but more expensive. T81 is kind of in the middle... but if you have 1000 and are a red rifle enthusiast, it's a must, even stocks are crooked etc, those still shoot decently. No money-by SKS, some money-buy VZ58, only if enthusiast-buy T81, DO NOT BUY M10x no matter how enthusiastic you are re: red rifles

your videos was very entertaining, lol.

im glad they were greedy and jack up the price beyond my reach. now that the price is falling, im not about to reach out and grab the falling knife.

Too bad they botched it.
I liked the idea of the Kalashnikov action in a modern chassis.
Just another modern gun design boondoggle.
Makes me wonder about back in the day, say 50 60 years ago if manufacturers would release horrible designs that were never spoken of again and are now lost to time lol

you answered some important questions since I was seriously going to buy the M10x DMR but - instead I am now looking for a T81 or another CZ858

it took us one hour trying to find the charging handle, finally, it was found and the button was prevented from pressing using... I didn't want to tell, but a condom rubber from the car.
after that the button was stopped from pressing during firearm cycling.
at home I changed it for a 3mm thick 3cm wide black washer ring, as a temporary fix

the rear stock non-magpul QD mount was from ebay and I was wrong it costs 2.50USD, and functions great
magpul costs close to 30USD and difficult to find a place which will ship it to Canada
our Chinese friends do it for decent quality for just 2.50USD, so my question to M&M remains the same WTF guys???

For the grip insert I found one at HOGUE at 75USD on sale, but as usual, they say they can ship to Canada, but their website doesn't allow order to Canada, so I ordered one from OpticsPlanet for around 100CaD. It is crazy that the rifle doesn't allow basic cleaning kit/ front sight kit

Even AR front sight kit takes almost no space on a sling, but I decided to go with tool-less Heretz Israel product (tada raba guys from Israel), so I ordered both sights from ZAHAL:

Milspec durable polymer and no tool required.
The VISM SIGHTS from GOTENDA completely sucked, so I become more and more disappointed with GOTENDA

12USD two-to-single point QD sling works just fine with all QD points (two front, two base zhukovs and Chinese QD rear stock QD mount)

Now I do not enjoy all these purchases, even if they work because of overall disappointment for the price paid and even regardless of the price paid

if VZ58 had been designed to accept AK mags, that would be the most superior rifle

Thanks for the post. I dont mean to sound like a smart ass but I have a question. This isn't the first time ove heard expressed the desire for a rifle to run AK mags. Other than sks d type rifles nothing in canada takes them except the m10x as far as I know. Not common anyway.

Vz 58 mags are cheap, plentiful and I've never had a malfunction with one. What is it about AK mags that everyone wants a rifle that accepts them? The only thing I have heard compared to the vz mags is they dont have the Bolt hold open ridge along the back so they are more comfortable to handle. I'd much rather have a bho. The VZ IS the superior rifle imo.
