Understood for restricted firearms like AR15s, but what happens for NR guns that become prohibited? No registration certificates to revoke, so how do you challenge it...

Youza.

Does a Section 74 need to be filed for each Restricted a person owns?

Yes, Each revocation gives rise to its own challenge, however you can settle them all at once. The main thing is that it is not all or none.

You don't comply. You hold on to your firearm, you get charged for unlawful possession, and you fight the charge in criminal court.

has anyone read about nz or australia? they will get their way at some point. as an owner of $50,000 worth of semiautomatic firearms i stand to lose a great portion of my investment. That said, i do understand the politics behind the impending ban of semiautomatic firearms. The world has come unglued my friends and everything is now changed forever. my wish is that the government that we pay, will not take my property, perhaps grandfathering would be a better course of action. Alas i have great doubt that this will be the case. Regardless of who is in charge of our great country i will make my own decision on how to proceed as a free person.

Pretty sure this is not going to be as quick or easy as the liberals thought.
