Derya MK12 vs Typhoon f12

Derya is what I went with and I really enjoy mine. They do require something heavy for break in and a good cleaning once you're done. But once broken it will fire anything well. Mine hasn't had one failure even while breaking in. Its a fun shotgun!

bought the mark 12 in august and have probably 300 rounds(my own loads) and it has performed flawlessly right from the beginning. It is the match model and couldn't
be happier. I reload with a lee reloader and was worried about the roll on the crimp, would it feed? Have not had one issue with it.

My local store, Poco Military Surplus, has since discontinued the sale of Typhoons in favour of the Derya models: The Typhoons suffered from badly polished internals over that of the more refined, and slightly more expensive, Derya shotgun.

That said, Although one of the chaps on this board suffered a lemon, it was the store's experience that the Typhoon was returned for fixing at a rate of 100% - with the exception belonging to those capable of diagnosing and smoothing their own internals.

Now, the only Derya "problems" seem to be from noobs unaware as to how to operate their gas settings.Derya +1 [Even though I own a FD 12 'cause bullpups are cooler].

Cheers!

Could you please explain the gas settings so that this DERYA noob gets full enjoyment from his new MK12 .

I have a Typhoon F12, its now running great.. it took about 100 rounds birds ( 7.5, 11/8 , 3 drams) , 50 full power slugs to warmed up

I have sent an email and I am waiting for details from Tacord on their F12 project,I have bought from them before and have been impressed with product and depending on the details and cost I am thinking I will be going with the F12

well,I got hold of tac ord,and while their typhoon project looks awesome I just couldn't justify the cost so I settled on the mk12 match. It arrived yesterday, and although I took it apart and gave it a good cleaning and lube I didn't get a chance to shoot it yet,but it does look made well enough for a sub $1000 shotty.I'm looking forward to giving it a good breakin soon.
Thanks for all the good input guys

What's the cost on a Tacord F12?

How are they for takedown and reassembly the spring assists and barrel mating back to the receiver I have been told can be bears to get right .

About as easy as they come. You just have to remember to have a chamber flag in before pivoting on the front pin. If not you risk bending or cracking the feed ramp.
