$2000 St. Etienne?

I was at the flea market in Paris on Sunday.

It is reputed to be the world's biggest and there aremanz permanent displays, shops really, but I only found one antique arms dealer.

He was asking $1300 Euros for a St. Etienne revolver. That add sup to nearly $2000.

The market is legendary for having inflated prices and you're expected to bargain but Jeez!

It appeared to be nickel plated or buffed or shined or something as were the sole Colt and S&W revolvers too.

His swords started around $1300 Euros too.

Are you sure it was nickle plated if your talking about the 1873 ordance revolver in 11 mil they were left in the grey and were basicaly polished steel which looks alot like nickle.

A friend of mine has an 1873 which is nickle.

I believe that the naval ones all were nickle?

Just looked at a web site. It was indeed an 1873, and most pics resemble the one I saw.
