Ever hear of tooling marks on a Brigadier? I have some serious ones on one I just bought from a member here, on the left side of the slide, very unsightly. They were not apparent on the pictures he sent me. I was very reluctant to buy my first used gun for this very reason. He has told me they were there when he bought it new, I think myself and many others would not have made that purchase. Oh well, it is done now and he did offer to take it back so I will try not to be so picky. I think I will stick to buying new.

Yup. Mine is like that as well in the same spot. Thanks for posting this... i thought i was alone.

There's no more Brigadier coming in the country, good luck finding a new one.

I meant stick with new guns, period. I have a Brigadier now why get more? This was my first used purchase out of 36 guns and likely my last.

I have seen worse...unfortunately this is the end of the production run, so you are not likely to easily find other ones.
I went through a series of pistols a couple of years ago to find one without those marks....

yeah that's brutal. I'd email them about it. since it's an Inox they could refinish it for you.

I bet they would redo it for you if you #####ed at them, the size of this company, they will not want bad press- thou I have never dealt direct
with them- what do I know, should not matter is new or used.
still looks better the the painted 92's I use to have .

What are the chances they will do something? I wonder if I will just get the usual run around.

Good luck with Stoeger Canada (Beretta rep in Canada located in Whitby Ontario) - they have been less than helpful in the past.
Getting the firearm to Beretta USA is a whole other kettle of fish....

Ok, Beretta said more than a few of these pistols did turn out this way but were offered at a discounted price. They cannot refinsh them only replace the whole slide at my cost and it will take over a year. He also said the person you bought it from would have a comment written on his original receipt stating the blemish. So I get screwed the first time I decide to buy used. Thanks for nothing to the guy who sold this pistol to me and lied.

You said he offered to take it back. Maybe you should take him up on that offer.

With all due respect...

- did he buy it new or used?
- if this was the only one he ever handled in person.. maybe he thought this was the norm of this brand of pistol?

Just out of curiousity Thad... how old are you?

Holy #### !!!
The guy offered you your money back.
Stop your whinning and take him up on his offer if you`re not happy but don`t say he screwed you and lied to you.
