The rings don't match but oh well.

I think that the stock candle apply red turned out real nice; a local guy sanded it, smoothed it, clearcoated it and painted it

The grammar police are like the RCMP; they have jurisdiction anywhere even though they don't know anything.

Is your barrel totally free floated, partically bedded or what? Any issues with droop?

I have a 18" GM bull on the way and the thought of droop is stressing me out.

That is the main rub with 10/22's.... the aluminum receiver is not really built to support a heavy barrel like some others are, with steel receivers.

They really benefit from bedding, but can still develop droop in time.

This however is not first hand experience... my 10/22 target heavy barrel hasn't drooped yet, and still throws em into well under an inch at 50 yds.

It's not free-floated or bedded. Seems pretty well supported to me.
