Wrong serial number on my cert

I have a quick question. I just received my cert for a handgun and it’s the wrong serial number on the cert. it’s marked a 2 when it’s a 7. What is the proper steps to fix it ?

I would imagine they will tell you what they require...

Just phone them, they would probably mail you a new card with the correct number and different .###

Just call in, and advise the error and request a 'description change'.. They may very well require proof, so a good digital image should be taken and forwarded on to the Registry folks. The CFC will give u the proper email addy. Your new Reg Cert will be coming shortly.

Just call in , they require nothing but the serial number of the pistol, you have.

Happened to me during the big CZ sale a few months back. Not a big deal. Seller called in and got it changed.

If it’s a recent purchase from a dealer, contact the retailer first.
