what does the average good pelt go for these days?
what does the average good pelt go for these days?
My last sale I averaged $140...some guys got a bit more some a little less.
Scott r I'm curious to how long do you let them dry after skinning them.then to wash the hides in the washer.
Nice job on processing the fur. What do you use for a heating source in the fur shed. I had one lined with OSB like yours that I used a wood stove and after a decade of use the OSB dried out. Good thing I was around when it caught on fire.
My new shed that I built is now all metal lined and I have gone to a small propane heater to warm it up quickly when I want to work in it. The wife and kids use to complain more about me smelling like smoke than like fur. I built a separate small room in it that is super insulated and just has a small electric wall heater. It also has a refrigeration unit in it and is used as a walkin cooler for those Sept archery deer and elk hunts.
I like you would much rather be out coyote hunting then big game any day. Christmas Day is one of the only days in the winter when I don't carry a rifle while I travel but I have shot a couple over the years out the back door around the sheep once I open presents.
Warning graphic content which isnt suitable for most city cucks and the likes....If killing animals bothers you...move along with out comment.
Just thought Id share some pics of my passion of predator hunting here in southern SK. Im very fortunate to have some of the best coyotes in NA out my back door and there is nothing Id rather hunt then a coyote (call me weird). Was out today and shot 2. Heres a some pics of whbat I do with a coyote from start to finish.

Always have my favorite skinning knives. Ive bought custom knives costing hundreds and nothing seems to work as well as these cheap knives I bought at Dam Beaver supplies. About $20 a knife and are perfect.

Very nice , coyotes in good shape too. I use to skin muskrats and beaver. What do you do to get rid of them dam fleas?
Curious about this also, don’t some guys put them in a garbage bag with a spray of raid?
No they dont smell bad in colder weather.....Early season yes,if snaring it gets warm. If it's a fresh healthy dog they smell great lol, I dont mind it myself. Fleshing is the hardest.
