mag conversion mod 70

I have a very nice win mod 70 (pre 64 action) custom 264 win mag. Mc Millan stock. I am thinking of a quality mag conversion. Any experience with this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Is that because of the action screw configuration, or bottom metal configuration? I ask only because I have an HS Precision stock that I had to inlet to accept the one-piece bottom metal from my post-2008 Model 70. I don't know about pre/post '64 differences really.
