Ok read the whole thread, back to square one. Anyone try the girsan MC 28? Norc Cf-98?
Don't know much about the MC28, but the CF-98 has a notoriously schidty trigger. Otherwise, OK

I bought an MC28 as my first pistol and it was not bad. The trigger was mediocre though. I was fighting it and shooting poorly. Got hold of a Norc NZ85B (CZ85B clone) which feels miles better. Someone put a lighter recoil and main spring in it for me and the feel is great and I'm far more accurate with it. Supposedly the new MC28 V2 has an improved trigger so it may be better. Also have a Norc NP58 which has a better trigger than the MC28 (in single action anyhow, it's super heavy in DA). And have a Beretta 92 .22 which is awesome.

Thanks for the reply. I'm becoming more interested in a .22 pistol the more I research. I'd like to get my girlfriend out shooting figure with a .22 good choice for kids/women/friends plus cheaper.

The MC28 is a decent pistol. Rip-off of the M&P. I had one and it never gave me an issue.
If you are looking at .22's, seriously consider the S&W victory. Great gun. Nice and heavy build, nice sights and dead nuts accurate.[/QUOTE
Ya victory is a good looking gun
If you buy a .22 ( and I agree it’s a good beginner caliber), buy the best one you can afford. If you buy the cheapest junk, the gun may sour you due to the tons of failure to feed and ejects you may encounter.
Off the top of my head, I would suggest the Ruger Mk. III, Browning Buckmark, the S&W M&P .22 and the upcoming Glock 44 looks very good in videos.

I only have 1 regret - selling mine. In the market for another right now.
