No kidding, If only I had picked up a surplus C8 upper when they were available I would be halfway there. Who knows though, maybe it'll have to be buried in sand for the next 20 years cou:
 
I had a very specific vision in mind for this build: a full length infantry rifle with some FN style aesthetics. It's mocked up for now, still waiting on a few pieces. To be accessorized with a bayonet and 2 point sling soon.

Beautiful Colt! I just took the father in law to the Calgary shooting centre and helped him spend his money on a brand new 18.5" Colt MRR in .223!
 
I had this 11.5" Stag upper for a while and just got the lower from a nice CGN'er. The DD furniture is from Wolverine, I think the whole thing wants a grey/tungsten Cerakote job. Sad that some Imgur snowflakes are downvoting it, what has it ever done to them? The hand guard is a Paper City firearms piece.

Very nice! Always liked the PCF hand guards and Stag Arms is a personal favorite, looks great!
