Coyotes!! Freakin' everywhere!!

I just got back from my archery elk hunt in West Central Alberta. No luck with the Elk, but a whitetail got "the blade"

Any-who, whenever we cow called - a coyote (or two) would come in. If we set up on a trail - a coyote would pass by. On our way to and from the the hunting site, numerous coyotes either crossing a field, or in front of us.

Has anyone else noticed that the population is dramatically up? I trips past, I would encounter one, maybe two in the course of a day, but to count 15-20 in a morning?

I will have to get on the phone with Wholesale as as where the H3LL my Steven 200 .223 is!!

What your seeing is the pups moving out more and more by them selves. I was up checking the cows and had a young coyote in the same field. He was mousing and hardly even seen me drive by. We start to see more wandering into the yards this time of year also. Should be some good calling before deer season starts in Nov----Cowboy

Anywho - yotes are howling and yodeling hot & heavy around home. Lots of pups it seems.

Plenty around here again. You thin them out and others move in.

They seem to be out a lot. Im waiting till they are prime. Should be a good winter for yotes.

watched my buddy hammer his first yote this evening, that came in to a fawn distress (we were messing around with a doe)

We can all relax now. My Steven 200 arrived (whew!). I bore sighted on the Kitchen table last night - much to the wife's dismay, 'cause it was suppertime. Hopefully I can get out after work and properly dial it in (200 yard zero). Maybe I will post pictures once I get'er painted up. Those Steven's 200 stocks are all kinds of ugly, aren't they?

Wholesale actually brought you something in you actually wanted and got it right??!! The mouth breathing liars on the gun counter must have zoned out that day and got something actually promised.

Cannot wait until Cabela's destroys them once and for all.

Oh yeah, the yote's are up and running up my way as well. Actually had a farmer employ me to wipe them out on his spread. The .22-250 is getting another notch or two daily. Bring on the snow. Cash to be made!!!!

Thread Hijack

Yeah, they were very slow to deliver. Ordered Sept 2, not mailed until the 13th never got it until the 16th. I would of been content with a simple UPDATE (i.e Sorry, we are backordered / dog dead / sister pregnant) but just to let you hang on like that is Bull$hit.

Hopefully Cabelas isn't the same service in a different wrapper.
