The JR Carbine Thread

Anyone know where I can get a new bolt for my JR 9mm? Mine snapped in half a few years ago, I searched around and could find nothing. I spoke with several gun shops in my area (Calgary) to no avail. This rifle has been sitting in a box in pieces for 4 years and I'd really like to get it going again.

If you email their support they'll help. I emailed them for a firing pin, sent it free, took a couple weeks but....free!

Perhaps this is the wrong place to ask however I thought I would start here............

Does any one know if there are any 10mm JR carbines in Canada?

If so, who's selling them?

I drilled and tapped through the bottom of the gas block/ front sight and used set screws with loctite. Through the bayonet lug and the existing hole. No modification has been done to the barrel. I found the idea on youtube... hasn't come loose after about 300 rds.

There was one on the EE a month or so ago. I believe it was a 40S&W to start with and had a factory conversion kit installed (it came with the 40S&W barrel and other bits as well). It might be possible to order a conversion kit directly from JRC. I know they ship replacement parts to Canada.

What hand guard do you use on your JRC? And did you have to do anything special to attach it?

Its a Chinese knockoff of a ALG defense rail. Built extremely well for the money. You can find them even cheaper on ebay, along with the required barrel nut shims... but theres a chance the part will take months to arrive or it may not arrive at all. Mine ebay order didnt, months later i got a refund, and ordered one from the linked in Airsoft store in BC for extra $$. The part arrived within days.

U will need to buy lots and lots of barrel nut shims of various sizes. Probably enough to make up almost an 1/8 of an inch.

Purchased off the EE as an unmodified JRC, the girl and I dressed it up to her liking and preferences. Ready to go!

Yeah you can use any standard AR15 handguard. Just make sure you get some barrel washers as you might need them.
