One of the best scenes in 'Waltz with Bashir' was the Merkava going down the narrow street in Lebanon crushing parked cars.
BTW the boys were being nice.
You can tell that because they were going only down one side of the street.
Otherwise the tank would have going down the middle crushing cars down both sides of the street instead of only the one row.......................
במקום בו יעצרו הזחלים שמה ייקבע הגבול
Ba-makom bo ya'atsru ha-zchalim, sham yikava ha gvool
(In the Place where the Treads Stop, There the Border Will Be Decided)
A movie that justifies the killing of many innocent civilians and destroying their residences and properties. Not something I would find interesting.
That is the complete opposite of the plot and the message of the movie which is about the horror and suffering in war.
The plot is about how a scarred veteran reconstructs missing years in his life and memory because of the trauma with the help of other veterans who are all also deeply damaged in their own ways and haunted for the rest of their days.
But those are other peoples reviews not mine so........
I can only assume you didn't see the same movie or have not seen the movie or wish to cast aspersions.
But as per op topic it has great car crushing.
and pretty cool 80s music by OMD and Public Image along with some cook Bach and middle eastern stuff.![]()
