Im looking for a bipod, wanting something similar to the rempel or the dolphin tracker 2 or even the phoenix precision bipod. Cost dosent really matter, but want something thats avaliable in canada!

Any ideas?

Temple is nice but heavy. I had to lighten mine to make weight. I did not like the Dolphin it has a funny bounce to it that I did not like

cost does not matter just buy a remple and be done

don’t buy from that Winnipeg guy that tries to copy stuff

I used a tier one carbon fiber bipod last season you can get them from Nordic marksman. Nice bipod and very light. Not as solid as a Remple it has more flex to it. Wanted to try something new so i ordered a Joypod to run this season.

For something quite different, have a look at the MPOD. I have these instock. This is a 'rear steer' style of bipod and allows for some interesting options in stock/chassis set up.

Light, tracks really well and offers a very high level of stability. Done well for me and others in competition.

PM or email.

Thanks

Jerry

Phoenix and Duplin seem pretty good overall. Most bipods run into issues with how they fasten to the rifle, often weak/floppy attachment, so a bit of improvements are sometimes required to get more out of it.
I've been using my own design for a few years, works pretty good for F-class, I've been planning to do a few tweaks to it, maybe lighten it up some more and run a batch but haven't yet.

I'd recommend the Tier One FTR. It attaches securely to a picatinny rail, has less flex than their carbon version but isn't quite as wide.

There are disciplines like PRC and IPSC Rifle where you want to be able to take the bipod off and only use it on stages that need it. For that a Pic-rail mount with a finger-tight knob is good, while an M-Loc where you'd need an Allan key and a bit of fiddling might be better for a discipline where the bipod can be a permanent part of the rifle. Might consider other mounts too, but an important consideration is how quickly it comes off and goes on in the field.

A decent detachable bipod also has the advantage that you can swap it onto the rifle you're using, and only need one and be able to put down some coin on a good one!

Anyone bringing the phoenix or duplin into canada though?

I have really been concidering the Tier one with carbon fiber legs. Is flex an issue?

I like bipods that can attach to a pic rail. You can ususlly have at least two screws holding a rail on possibly 3 or four screws depending on length. I figure the more screws the stronger it will be
