Dam I love the A2! To bad they dont make a strip down version to get it in the 8-10 oz range!

The scope weighs a lot, the rifle without the scope is ~9 lbs. If you found a lighter scope, maybe one in the 10x range with a 40mm objective, it might be 1-1.5 lbs lighter.

True but remains that the a2 is about 1 lbs more the a mft stock. But the a2 looks really good.

This gun was built by ATRS. Originally I bought the MS receiver. Then I started to order all my parts through ATRS and set F it, and had them put it all together. The barrel was custom machined by them from a Lilja blank. At the time they had an page saying that they will machine any barrel profile from a lilja blank for $750. I considered other options, but went went this route. It's a 1:8 .223 Wyld.

This here is a pure hater reply smh. Hey bro stick to your YouTube!

That's what I thought when I read the post. "This guy is just a hater".

I don't think he meant it like you imply, I think he was only poking fun... While it's a nice rifle, it is neither a MK12 nor anything special.
Ya see - after so many years of watching guys take a receiver set and throw some parts on it, then show the world their "C7 clone" or "MK12 clone", it gets kinda old.
That's the reality, and you may not like it but it's the truth.

Congrats on your new rifle, BTW. Not how I would've built it, but you paid for it not me !

Beautiful looking rifle - I really like the A2 stock as well - find it a lot more comfortable.

I'm curious though - What was the rational for putting on a high magnification scope - Is it for competition or varminting?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure TVPP is the opposite of hater.

I like the Mk12 builds myself, I've absolutely been one of those guys who slaps some parts on a Modern Varmint and calls it a Mk12-ish gun, ha. I also have a Modern Sporter C7 "clone". Or rather SA20.

It doesn't make the gun special, but TV is right, it sure as heck makes it 2005 cool. And being a grad of 2006, if it is high school era cool, it is really, really cool. ;)
