Hey folks,

Looking to add a NP762 to my collection to help shorting some milsurp 762x25 I’ve got with my TT33.

Anyone have issues or problems with the Norinco version?

Thanks!

Ive got one that i shot once. The trigger is brutally hard in single action. Build quality seems really decent for a cheap pistol. Only issue i had is a ton of failure to extract. Not sure if it was due to a coating on the brass or something else but i haven't gone back to shoot it since... . Just lack of time

I had a DA P762 , some people complained about the newly manufactured gun not being able to ignite the hard primers of old surplus ammo. Mine didn't have that problem it worked perfectly with all ammo I tried. At the time it was my favourite pistol because of the size of the grip and the recoil, also the muzzle flash was pretty awesome. During the short 4 years I owned it I watched the price of surplus ammo almost double so it wasn't the cheapest to shoot. Now I satisfy my recoil and fireball desires with 357 mag

got close to 2k through mine using pretty well every type of 7.62 tok and other than the odd primer failure from using older surplus, nothing a double strike never solved
the single action trigger is good for a service pistol, the double action was creepy and long, plus the sights were off but nothing a sighting in didn't solve.

I hear the trigger being the biggest issue it seems in terms of functionality, any upgrade/polishing/fixing possible?

Do 226 parts and mods work or is it different enough that they won’t?
