1. Heat the rear sight.
2. Spray a penetrant oil (kroil) on the rear sight screws.
3. Let the part cool to room temperature.
4. Touch the soldering to the rear sight near the screw. Do not touch the soldering iron on the screw.
5. Using the proper blade screw driver bit, start working the screw to produce movement(Avoid stripping the head at all cost!). If all is right in the world it should move.
6. If screw still doesn’t move repeat steps 1-5 untill it starts to move.
These are the steps that I use when removing the stubborn sights and screws on guns. No I am not an expert just a routine I have got into the past few years. P.S. A cheap temp gun is very handy here.
