This one could fit in the "why didn't i think about this before" category.

Simple, yet effective. Two small notches on each side of the visor. Allow the arms of your sunglasses (or in my case, prescription glasses) to not come in contact with the said visor. Also, they got rid of the button on the top of the hat (which, if there, is annoying when wearing earmuffs).

We were waiting in line at the airport security screening and noticed roving security people targeting people wearing baseball caps.
I think they were taking fingerprints electronically.
 
I read the thread title and thought that somebody was finally producing baseball caps with the little loops at each temple, for inserting the arms of your shades into when you take them off indoors. They ride securely up there when "strapped in", no worries about dropping off. I had a cap like that and it was outstanding; never saw another.

But nope, just another useless goofy "innovation".
