your collection took time and patience to be so valuable. you want to trade that for what cash can buy?

LOL. I have dozens upon dozens of rifles in my collection. I'm considering selling 5 or 6 rifles, not anything like the whole lot ;)

Everybody calm down...

Sellign some stuff to buy an SSD gun would be more of a wife appeasement tactic than anything else. Cash bought my MG34, but two $3000+ marstar guns within 4 months would be a bit over the top for her, unfortunately.

Claven2...You is gonna be sorry!!!
Even though you have a bunch of guns and selling off a few would not make that big of an impact you will probably feel a bit of remorse...right!!!!!
I felt the same thing...sold a bunch of trapdoor Springfields (about 12 in total over a few years) and have regretted it, to a certain degree, ever since. Those guns turned into painted A-2 flight jackets, and WW1 division identified jackets. Most would say that is insane...but it is my stuff to do with what I want.
Which brings up the most important point of all here.
It is your stuff and if you feel the addition of the guns that you have your eyes on are worth the selling of older stuff...then giver!!!!
I personally like the old stuff and would keep it all and scrounge/beg/borrow/steal what it takes to get the other stuff.
Cheers

ok, the list is up in the EE, minus a couple rifles ppl knew I had, pm'd me about, and we worked out the details before I could even draft a list - lol. One guy in particular REALLY wanted a certain matching NRF made SMLE... you know who you are!

Check it out. Some neat stuff including some really uncommon K98k's, an unissued 1903A3 (it's even an early Smith Corona!) and even an M28 Finn - probably the only one in Canada (!)

Am I crazy? You be the judge!

ok, well the guns are moving fairly quickly :) If there's anything anyone wants, make sure you let me know ASAP. ;)

I'd be happy to send lots of photos to help you decide.

Save!

Don't sell your pieces if you enjoy them. They will only get harder and more expensive to replace, whereas you can always save up $3000 for something new in other ways. That's my thoughts anyway...

Sell them!

Think of it this way: By advertising to us first, you can be sure that these rifles will wind up in good homes and aren't in any real danger of falling into bubba's hands. You will also free up some space in your safe for some other things you covet.

You can also take solace in the fact that you can shoot the crap out of a milsurp, without it actually being a milsurp, it's a repro faithful to the original... and you will get curious looks at the range, at least more so than with an M91 with a bunch of funny stamps on it.

Take the plunge!

If I sell the car to buy a gun, you're getting hit up to support my divorce lawyer fund ;)

I'm not destitute, I could buy the gun outright. Selling stuff to buy a BD series gun is a marital compromise, nothing more ;)
