SKS Keep or sell?

So what is the real likelihood of the SKS becoming restricted or prohibited? I hold a restricted, but a restricted SKS is just f***ing stupid and not worth the hassle one bit to me. Because if it gets banned while I own it I'd sooner shove it in the floorboards covered with cosmoline and forget about it than hand it over.

Sell it and put the money towards the Chiappa or hold onto it for now and see what happens?

Who is going to buy your lightly used SKS if buyers are as worried about what is “possibly” coming down the pipe?

Not long ago a Norinco SKS-D ( with 2 factory 30 rnd. AK-47 Mags) in ,,, "NIB shape" ,,, was going for about $650 . Has that changed ?
 
Of all the guns I own, and several are worth thousands of dollars each, the last one I'd sell give or lend would be my sks.;)
 
I was looking for the pic someone posted awhile back of a beautiful wooden/glass gun cabinet with just SKS's... like 30-50 in it.
If I remember...there was also some military or police diplomas on the wall.

If you buy one from a retailer now don't they have to put all your details into the system anyway? So that's pretty much like a gun registry. Or am I wrong?
 
To this day, I look at this rifle and think what if the tables were turned on it. What if there weren't so many of these in Canada(?)

This rifle would command huge dollars if it wasn't so plentiful, due to supply and demand naturally, but it would also be lauded for it's incredible build, look, function and downright awesomeness. More so than it is today.

Milsurp and gun lovers would be fawning over this rifle if it was rare.
 
Perhaps ill keep it for now then. I just buy the Mare's leg in a couple weeks, I just hope it doesn't sell. The local Canadian Tire had a Henry and a Chiappa a couple weeks ago, I was in yesterday and the Henry had sold.
